COVID-19 Statement by Hollywood Ballroom Management

Dear valued customers, employees, instructors, and friends:

This is an update to our statement of March 12, 2020 regarding the COVID-19 (also referred to as Coronavirus) situation.

Maryland Governor Hogan has canceled gatherings of more than 50 people until further notice.

Hollywood Ballroom intends to respect and comply with the mandate, by discontinuing the following public social dances –

Dance Jam Productions’ Friday night West Coast Swing dance, effective March 13, 2020

Mr. Mambo’s Salsa & Bachata dance of Saturday, March 14, 2020

Hollywood Ballroom’s Sunday night Ballroom dances, effective March 15, 2020

Hollywood Ballroom’s Wednesday night Ballroom dances, effective March 18, 2020

Hollywood Ballroom’s Thursday afternoon Tea Dances, effective March 19, 2020

Week-night group lessons, effective March 16, 2020, subject to change.

These events will resume when the ban of public gatherings is lifted.

We regret having to take these actions.  Our employees will lose income.  Our customers will lose the joy of dancing.  The ballroom will lose income and momentum.  On the other hand, if life will be healthier and safer for all of us, it will be worth it.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.  And, we hope to see you on the dance floor very soon.
